The destruction of our program has been facilitated by an incompetent bean-counter playing AD. Every decision he has made has been a catastrophe. If you are one of the " anyone can do any job after watching Youtube videos" crowd, you get what you deserve. Also, can we sign 50 more DB's in the next 4 years who can't cover?

Coaching: C-
Head coach made several play calls that made no sense. We had success early running and then decides to go to the passing game. Then after a couple good runs late in the 3rd quarter, he realizes that we can run on ND at will. Putting Milton in the game too late was a mistake as well. He should have come into the game in the 2nd quarter. And then have plays where both of them are on the field at the same time. Why don't we have these plays? Defensive coordinator has a lot of talent out there and the one time they blitzed, on 3rd and 17, the whole world knew but him that a screen was coming.
Offense:B+
Loved our running game. The OL still a major problem. And we need to go with Milton going forward. He's just a winner and makes magic happen. Put Jordan in there for wildcat or trick plays. But this was a great site to see despite the turnovers.
Defense: B+
Our pass rush has improved 100%. LBs still seem a bit lost and still can't tackle. But the transfers/young LBs look good. Can't wait to see some new recruits come in to improve our DBs.
ST:C+
Punting was good. PK was good until overtime. Our returners can't return much. Wish we could get a Peter Warrick/Deion Sanders type, but he won't be here until next season.

He better have learned his system of play calling is his own kryptonite. He had better Learn on how to throw to the middle, slants, Tight ends and learn misdirection. He had surely better understand that using the wild cat 2x in a row continuously is amateur hour. Also running a 170 lb speedster like a 200 lb full back up the middle is brain dead.
his plays are predictable as in the DB who jumped the route on Milton whom had a good fake.
Beyond this he better realize you don’t ever ever when the game is on the line with a team going for a miracle pass with 6 seconds to go - go to 2 man deep coverage.

I was upset with the rest of you last night. But, after thinking about this all night and now all morning. I feel we just need to accept reality and that we will just have more downs than ups this year. It is just going to take time to get this ship back. Norvell might have to get rid of some coaches and change up some positions. But, I feel this is just going to take some time. We have hit some bad times and you can't change the course over night. You have to go through pain to fix problems!

As bad as last night was (biblically disastrous for Norvell tenure/FSU program), next Saturday is still a chance for the rare perfect trifecta:

Michigan State looks fully capable of running Miami off the field.
Bama is going to treat uf like JSU treated us. FSU might (maybe, possibly, there’s at least a chance) beat Wake.

We scored 3 dang points in the second half against a team that was losing players left and right due to “injuries”!! 3 Points!! This is all on Norvell and Dilly! Offensive game plan was amateur at best.

I’m still infuriated from last night, woke up this morning and it wasn’t a dream.

Especially on offense, our team has no identity. For 2 years, I’ve been trying to figure out our offensive philosophy. It seems we don’t run plays with any purpose or to our strengths. As a result we have no rythem or continuity.

Before FSU starts moving long time season ticket holders to make way for club seats they better have a product worth coming to see. I know they say they have to put club seats in because it's how you get people to come to games from outside the 200 mile radius but you got season ticket holders now who have been attending this crap show for a long time. The last thing you want to do right now is piss them off by telling them we know you like your seats but you have to move to worse seats and btw we are charging you more for them. Even if the Booster president or AD wants to personally meet to walk me through the changes your still telling me move my ass to worse seats or buy a corporate package. If I wanted that I be eating BBQ in the south end zone already.

Last night they wanted to have a fire with s’mores. I told them I wanted to watch the game so we didn’t. No more. I’m an FSU grad and love the university but no way I make that mistake again. I usually try and look at the positive but there isn’t many. This was a sloppy game from play calling to the players.

So on offense we have a awesome run game I don’t know why we are not feeding the ball to Corbin and ward. Our new formation on offense should be a i formation. We have the tight ends to make it work. The wild cat play should be ripped out the play book. It hasn’t worked yet and they keep trying it. Our offense play calling looked like amateur hour last night. Norvell needs to make major changes on the play calling.

On to defense this is on fuller. We made zero adjustments to there passing game. And on that last play call I am still scratching my head on. The defensive line play a good game.

Nothing seems put together on offense. Just line up and play back yard football and rely on a big play here and there.

They’re trying to blow them out in the first qrt and just need to put an actual drive together and run the ball a little.

Completely understand the POV that firing a coordinator this week is probably not justified yet or massive action on the team, probably isn’t justified yet either.

However- were a program with bad losses from underperforming players and coaching staffs for six years across three head coaches.

Booster Support and recruiting classes may fall apart because of this.

I’ve personally dealt with this in the corporate world after missing earnings- and saw it first hand after a bad investment. No matter if it’s justified or not, investors (boosters) and recruits need a head on the table. We’ve had 6 years of inexplicable losses with one firing.

If Norvell understands he’s the CEO of a $100MM company now over his small time job at Memphis he makes big and bold moves this week.

Justified or not- his support depends on it.

Doesn’t excuse the play of the entire team last night, but for what it’s worth, I follow Jarvis Brownlee on Instagram and he just lost a close friend and apparently was struggling pretty bad yesterday. His mom was even posting that she didn’t think he could go out there and play. I get it.. just tackle the dude. But at least for that player, on that play, who knows where his head was at.
