I have always wondered how one recovers from that type of termination. I see applying for a new job and as the interviewer reviews your resume,

"Oh, see you were terminated from job X. Why did you leave that position?"
racist idiot - "Well, I posted a series of very racist posts on social media and then doubled down on supporting race based violence."
interviewer - "Hmm, being this is a client facing position, we will have to review the job skills for a match, thank you for your time."

That type of firing (now permanently public and undebatable) seems like it leaves a mark. Racists were much "smarter" when they ran around in the dark with masks on.

I have also wondered how so many die hard fans of college football can also coexist as flaming racists / white supremacists for all things not related to cheering on their football team. I mean, there are a LOT of these types out there, particularly in the SEC.

Cheering the program and unis letting the labor be free. Phrase it like that, seems pretty in line no?

I don't know if the SEC is any worse than any others.

I'd go CFL if I were him. He won't be a consistently valued NFL QB because of height and inability to run. He's been sacked and hit enough for a lifetime; go up north and throw the rock around.

It may be an option for him. You never know but I am guessing he isn't the best fit for the future and he likely needs a change in scenery to shake off the last couple of seasons.

If he does transfer, hope it improves his life. I usually don't fault players when they transfer for legit reasons, esp in the scenario of a new coaching staff.

So looks like we both forgot to specifically call out women's basketball, they have earned that IMO. I was only thinking men's based on the loss on Sunday, but you are correct softball and soccer. However, I never get to watch the softball team. It gets no air time here, stream possibly.
Don’t forget both volleyball squads plus track and field. Just sayin’...

Heard on SiriusXM that Jalen Hurts is indeed going to transfer. He'd be the perfect bridge to Howell 2020.

I don't think Jalen Hurts is a legit QB (I wasn't impressed by him behind Bama's o-line, I can't imagine him behind whatever ours is next year), so I'm not interested in going that route again, but it would be cool if somehow* we won a championship with a Bama transfer QB after they won a championship with one of ours.

*yes, I know we don't have an o-line.

Does that mean they are wearing those ugly blue uniforms tonight? Nice to honor the Seminoles but those unis are awful.

They look like Karl Malone's college jerseys.

So these grades are head scratchers to me. Jimbo “improves” by one game and needed 7 overtime’s and three decisions by refs that should have ended the game in LSU’s favor that they didn’t correct and he gets an A. Taggart loses one extra game with a significantly tougher schedule and a bunch of out of shape and out of place guards and defensive tackles playing on the line and he gets an F. Also how does Chip Kelly who got 3 wins on one of the easiest schedules in the country get a C when they went to a bowl the previous year and has a negative 3 win “improvement" (dropping from 6-7 to 3-9)?

The SEC...it just means more. More $$$ for CBS that is.

Put me in the category of, whatever.
We didn't make a bowl and were under .500, so take the F. Now if they gave more favorable "grades" to others, meh. I agree that some are oddly favorable when they should be worse, or equal to FSU, but again, meh.

Hack oped.

He’s not great but would be an upgrade. I’ve seen enough flashes of how well this offense can do when the qb is a running threat. We also have an easier schedule next year.

Pretty tight game going on in those ugly unis. I actually thought we were the team in black for the 1st 15 seconds or so.

Nice win. Impressive defense to end game.

The boards showed the ugly side last night with multiple posts on Hoops and TC decrying the failures of Coach Ham and our team

And after win was secured the best when those posters got piled on for premature coach/team hating.

He would be an upgrade as a stopgap for Howell, perhaps even help to teach him some things. Hurts has a lot of shortcomings but he does a few things well:
1 senses pressure
2 eyes always downfield
3 doesn't take too many risks over the middle
4 runs well makes good reads

It is hard to fathom these anti Hamilton crowd still do this act. The debate on Hamilton being right for FSU is over. He is going to go down as our greatest coach all time and has accomplished so much for FSU basketball, which still struggles to have fans show up. 333 wins. 6 of our 16 NCAA tournaments made have been under him. Won the ACC championship. Almost made final four last year. Had we lost yesterday it would have been first home loss to out of conference team since 2014. It must be hard for them to admit being so wrong about something. Yeah, sure, #firecoachham.

Im far from a Ham basher and actually appreciate what he's done with our program, but you have to admit ever since he's been here, if we're not on defense or fast break, there is some lack of cohesion and awareness in our half court offense. If we can somehow grasp or implement this, look out.

My expectations are for this program to make the tourney every other year. That's it. It's pretty tough to do if you are not one of the perennial powerhouses. We are not a basketball school. I love what Ham has done here. I'm okay if we don't ever make the Final Four.....but I feel like it's at least not out of the question with Coach Ham at the helm. Last year was a blast.

Too soon to point out our basketball team has more wins by November 28th than our
footballl team has? Correction I mean had....I am still not use to the football season being over.
