Good article on win today and accomplishments over last 13 years

Florida State has emerged as North Carolina's most consistent conference rival since head coach Mark Krikorian was hired prior to the 2005 season. This year was the program's ninth College Cup appearance since Krikorian arrived, the most of any team in that span.

A second national title, this time against the program that set the standard in the sport and the conference they share, cements their spot atop the sport.

Thanks NiA. Great write up.

Let's hope Taggart marches over to Mark's office this week to learn a few things about creating better discipline.

That is one possible benefit of having a strong AD and good dept. culture: if it's right the coaches really can learn from each other. Congrats to the ladies!

I just got a notification on my sports app that OC Bell got picked up as UMass HC. Now who do you bring in?

Well criznap. Walt Bell’s decision better not mess with our Howell chances or else he gets added to the Tribe list of traitors which currently includes Mark Richt, Maryland Terrapin athletics and Jimmy James Jim Jim Bob.

I was at the game last night. A sign of how good this team is, and far we have come as program, is how poor we played and lethargic we were vs a team that gave everything they had and for 10 minutes could not miss ....and FSU still easily won. Normally, this would have been a quintessential non conference head scratcher loss FSU and most college basketball teams always have one or two of each year. Nope. Still almost covered the 19.5 point spread.

That’s what the true top 10 teams do to lesser opponents. They will still beat you fairly comfortably with their D+ game.

Walt Bell leaving may just boot Howell to UNC. This little "experiment" may have just cost us three more years or poor football.

Don't count on it. There are plenty of fish in the sea...

True but Howell seemed to be doing decently well at attracting big time WRs from this year and especially next and while we were no means assured of getting them WITH Howell, we will definitely get none of them without Howell. Honest, I can't think of a single recruit that probably means as much to the overall program as Howell will mean beyond Jameis. Without Jameis I don't think we win a title and compete for others and without Howell I think we get stuck in a middle of the pack setting fighting NC State for second in the Atlantic for quite some time. If we can get Howell and the recruits that might come with him then we can be a 9-10 win team next year and then in contention for ACC titles and playoffs 2020 or 2021.
