ESPN posted about Tiger being back before they said anything about Brooks. I don’t think it is an FSU conspiracy, I just think it is funny the way they ride Tigers jock.

Faldo and Nance said multiple times how Koepka's second major this year was going to be overshadowed by Woods' performance without even once acknowledging their complicity in that.

He makes the clock turn and the money come in. When he plays (not wins just plays) the tournament value is something like triple a non-tiger event. As usual people are just buttering their bread.

Great tournament

Why do I not buy that or why do Herman and Meyer have contempt for each other?

What’s the beef between Meyer and Herman?

Meyer called Herman out for supposedly blaming his players for a loss. That allegedly stems from Herman getting more credit for the Bucks offense in their championship year than what Meyer felt he deserved.

Also, I think Herman's wife has a friendship with Smith's wife.

Some betting lines are showing up on my sports app. Noles by 6.5 and Bama 25.5 over Louisville. What would the gamblers here do with that Bama line?

Not really a gambler, but I play one on tv. I know UL looks tempting with that big number, but Bama has played in five straight of these type games and covered 4/5 including 3 straight. Personally, I wouldn't touch it.

Wouldn't touch Alabama. They have a brand new secondary and Louisville will have a good offense but Saban is lethal in season openers.

Baseball fun fact question of the day

18 players have hit 4 home-runs in one game, 9 of those players in games most of us either watched or at least watched highlights on Sportscenter

no googling ( or Bing or any other search engine for the cheaters),
who ya got?

I did think of Marshall, actually :p...But the one Major Leaguer I recall for some reason is Mark Whiten of all people, but that's all I've got off the top of my head.

Correct, that was my first as well, I think partly because of the ESPN highlight nickname Hard Hitting Mark Whiten

I just looked it up, and there's another that occurred in defeat that I definitely should have remembered but vaguely recall only now.

Combine bigger stronger (due to steroids or not) players with newer smaller ballparks and diluted pitching due to expansion for an explanation for why 4-homer games have become a lot less rare during our lifetimes. Even increasingly specialized pitching has mitigated the explosion in homeruns to only a small extent.
