Honestly, what I expected. He seems to me to be the best fit for the new offense.Going by more reports today in multiple locations, it's sounding more and more like Francois will be starting vs VT
Damn, I'm getting excited. I can smell it (the beginning of the season) now.Going by more reports today in multiple locations, it's sounding more and more like Francois will be starting vs VT
I just can't figure out a realistic level of expectation. The talent is there. Can the new staff fit it into their system?Damn, I'm getting excited. I can smell it (the beginning of the season) now.
I mean the season in general, as well. As far as FSU goes, 9-3 would be a rousing success in my mind for the new staff's first season. More important for me than the actual W/L total is how well the kids adapt and execute.I just can't figure out a realistic level of expectation. The talent is there. Adaptation must lead to execution which must lead to wins.I mean the season in general, as well. As far as FSU goes, 9-3 would be a rousing success in my mind for the new staff's first season. More important for me than the actual W/L total is how well the kids adapt and execute.
...which leads to happy, which leads to more happy, which leads to more of the same.Adaptation must lead to execution which must lead to wins.
Absolutely. Go Noles!!...which leads to happy, which leads to more happy, which leads to more of the same.
Man, I am trying to temper expectations, but there is so much positivity in the air that it is getting me ALL PUMPED UP!
The realization of just how much I had begun to dread the drama around that other coach has settled in this spring. WT talks like a real person and shows genuine character traits. It seems like the kids are buying in and the assistants appear to be solid. Let’s hope that Greg Frey can get the big uglies revved up and rolling.
Go Noles!!

Wow! Number 1 HS team in the country (depending on service) IMG Academy got rolled when their first string was in against Columbia HS 27-0. It’s just a preseason scrimmage and the second and third teams are in so who knows what the final score will be (33-13 atm) but that is pretty sad for a first string loaded with P5 commits and mainly 5 and 4 stars.
Coached by FSU's own Brian Allen.Wow! Number 1 HS team in the country (depending on service) IMG Academy got rolled when their first string was in against Columbia HS 27-0. Yep. Best I can guess offense will still have some ups and downs due to new system and questions on Oline but the defense is going to be smarter and not constantly messing up on key situations. So glad Kelly is goneI just can't figure out a realistic level of expectation. The talent is there. Can the new staff fit it into their system?
We can't expect to win Clemson.Yep. Best I can guess offense will still have some ups and downs due to new system and questions on Oline but the defense is going to be smarter and not constantly messing up on key situations. So glad Kelly is gone
Opening game against Tech is absolutely crucial. They're talented enough on paper to beat us on a given day...Let's just not let it be this Labor Day in Doak.We can't expect to win Clemson.
Notre Dame and Miami are 50-50 tossups.
Louisville, VTech and NC State - we should expect to win two out of three.
We should expect to win the rest.
That's an expectation of 9-3.
I agree up to the point that home field historically means very little in the scUM series. If Miami and ND were at home, I think we’d be 50-50, but away, we’re definite underdogs. My expectation now is 8-4, anything better is gravy. I think we’ll go 9-3. My thoughts are usually are more optimistic than my expectations. We have talent, so an 11-1 season is not out of the realm of possibility....either is 7-5. I really just want us to look like we’re playing hard.
Especially given that Labor Day is also my birthday. The Noles wouldn't lose on my birthday, right?Opening game against Tech is absolutely crucial. They're talented enough on paper to beat us on a given day...Let's just not let it be this Labor Day in Doak.
I don't know how anyone could support any of them at this point.Amusing Followup story to the Zach Smith/Corch Irvan Mayers story.

True.I don't know how anyone could support any of them at this point.
You look forward to those things? No way. I hope Meyer stays. Can you imagine the shenanigans at opposing team stadiums?
Strap-ons and c-rings and wiener pics, oh my!
Agree on Miami I think they simply have a pretty easy schedule do will have a decent record. Why are people so high and scared of Miami? They're severely overrated. It took an awful Charles Kelly D, a checked out team and coaching staff, and a CB who thought he was already in the NFL for Miami to squeak by with a lucky throw/catch to win and break a long losing streak. That's the same Miami team that then went on to lose to any real team on their schedule...which has happened almost every year for the past 5-6 years. Why is this year any different? It's not like Richt can coach teams up, we've seen that before as well. Screw that, we're taking it to them this year.
I also think ND is overrated, but not to the degree Miami is.
Smash route?Per warchant the new staff spends time teaching players what an opponent will try to do to counter a specific play or situation.
What a novel concept: I don’t recall ever hearing that in all of Fisher’s years at FSU.
That's crazy!Adrian Peterson and Jamaal Charles are competing for the third-string running back position in Washington. It wasn't that long ago that these guys were every fantasy league's top pick.
Looks good to me.The First AP Poll is out. I bolded ACC and Florida teams.
