The extended forecast calls for "PM Thunderstorms" on Labor Day. Anyone have an informed opinion on who a wet track would benefit more?
I would also say on the afternoon thunderstorms, you could have taken any 10 day forecast from May forward and we would likely have a 50% chance.

Anyone watching Finebaum? His takes on Urban's time in gunsville with Aaron Hernandez has me :Face with Tears of Joy.

I had to laugh this morning while listening to Schein on Sports this morning.

1. He was stating that UGA is a wildcard team in terms of the playoff this year just because they play in the SEC. He didn't elaborate so for all I know he was saying the SEC is so weak they shouldn't have much trouble getting in.

2. Clemson might need to change QBs when they travel to aTm because that is going to be a huge test playing on the road against an SEC team with their new coach. Apparently he thinks the Clemson backup is better than the returning guy from last year, which might not be a stretch. However, I don't see aTm being such a big test for them.

As far as Georgia goes, he's probably referring to the fact the SEC's the only conference to get two teams into the Playoff at this point.

Clemson should pound aTm. Will get ugly.

Elaborate please.
He jokingly implied that Urbie did perhaps suspect that AH had the potential to do very bad things. He was responding to an OSU homer caller and saying that Meyer has a history of having people with questionable character around him going back to uf.

SEC has been very strong for some years but this year it's looking quite overrated.

They still get a lot of talent but I don't see 2 teams getting in.

Auburn is going down week 1

And....FSU Football twitter officially confirms we're going with the black uniforms and the alternate helmet...

On national tv.
The only game on tv.
Vs a good conference opponent.
To start a new era (with a man who espouses "tradition").

Ugh...this is the first major strike for me of Taggart, in my opinion. Such an awful move from a branding standpoint.

I realize he was only at Oregon for a short while, but with how often they change uniform combinations, I expect him to do something similar at FSU. I don't like it, but I expect it.

In Tech's last big road game at night in Miami, the canes wore their alt black unit and stomped them. Hopefully, the result is similar on Monday.

Meh, as an old crotchety fan I don't like it. As a young player who saw the old staff quit you probably love it. Keep shaking things up. Let them wear some swaggy new unis in prime time.
I'll give him a pass this time.

It would be a bigger deal to me in the pre-Chief Walmart days since I don't care that much for our purple home jerseys anyway.

If they are announcing it on Twitter, then a large portion of our fans won't know about it.
I won't be there, but I will be wearing garnet here in my living room.

I don’t mind the different color unis. It’s the new uni style I detest. Going on our 5th season now and still no new logo gear for me. How long do we have to wear these before our previous uniforms come back in style?

Let them wear it against Samford (or better yet...burn those unis and never have it be an option).

Remember when people (rightfully) used the argument that FSU (and by extentions, the football program) was bigger than Bobby Bowden when his (forced?) retirement was coming up? That's the exact same thing about these uniforms vs any player/fan/coach. It's a branding issue that goes well beyond what a young player likes. If it takes changing the uniforms to get the kids motivated, we're in for some massive troubles. And that doesn't get into the whole argument that you can't point to one major recruit who used "alternate uniforms" as a reason to choose a school.

Doomed!

And that doesn't get into the whole argument that you can't point to one major recruit who used "alternate uniforms" as a reason to choose a school.

“In a survey conducted by PickSixPreviews.com, 60 out of 100 uncommitted recruits said Oregon had the best uniforms in college football. Baylor was a distant second with just eight votes, while TCU (six), Maryland (five) and Florida State (five) rounded out the top-five schools.

On the flip side, Alabama and Penn State each got 11 votes for worst uniforms.”

Like I said, I'm not a fan but I understand. First game, new coach, new era. Adds a little excitement. Let them have it. Will be back to regular unis the next week.

Taggart said he would announce the uniform combos each Monday before the game. FSU is garnet and gold. Let Oregon be the chameleon of the NCAA.

Maybe it's just me, but uniforms aren't really a big deal to me.

I agree with this. First game, new coach, new staff, new attitude, at night and at home. I'll give WT a pass here.
