Atlanta Braves thread

There truly is no point before the final out of the game is recorded that I can relax with this team.

Don’t understand pitching some of these guys ... Jackson keeps getting his shots no matter how inconsistent he is and Tomlin got hammered.

Riley on 10-day IL .... Camargo finally gets a base hit ... hope that signals a restoration of confidence.

Given a likely loss tonight against Miami, Atlanta will be 13-12 since the all star break. At this rate the division race might be a lot tighter than it looked a few weeks back. Disappointing effort by Keuchel tonight. That starting rotation is looking more tenuous.

Does anything even approaching a complete game exist anymore??

Soroka's pitching a gem and is then taken out after 7.

Braves are in tough shape with this bullpen. Who do you go to? They are all ulcer-inducing, white knuckle relievers. Well .... now it’s Greene.

Good Lord. Unbelievable.

I swear, I think I can pitch better than these rag arms they bring in. Soroka screwed again.
So much for the GM bringing in three relievers ... that have problems holding a lead and getting guys out. Hard to believe Greene was an all star ... relievers have given up nine hits and six runs. And this against a weak hitting Miami club.

Braves are now 14-13 since the all star break with 6 of those losses to KC, Cincinnati and Miami. Unreal!

Interesting that Greene did not pitch in the ninth. Every time he’s been in he’s given up some runs. Have they lost confidence in him?

Atlanta relievers doing what Atlanta relievers do .... giving up walks and home runs.

He had some very good stats in years past but the arm muscle injury he suffered was severe and it wasn't clear if he ever get back to old form.

And apparently he’s some success against LA.

deGrom vs Folty tonight. Even though the pitching has been much improved of late I'm not expecting a lot from our offense tonight. But then again I didn't expect much playing LA either.

Offense has been tepid the past few games....good thing it was against Miami. There are a number of great matchups in MLB this weekend.

26 Braves strike out! DeGrom was spectacular... but thirteen strike out by Mets relievers? Some flailing out there. Folty pitched well and so did most of the relievers. Got to the point where I would switch channels when our relievers were in not expecting them to hold off the Mets. A marathon win ... much to my surprise.

Only the Braves. 0-0 thru 7 pitching duel @ Coors.
Lackluster effort on offense ... both Acuna and Freeman left a lot of men in scoring position.... I will say one thing — after watching Cervellii play I would much rather have him in the game than. Flowers.

Touch stretch coming up. If they can't hit better than that, the collapse will be ugly.

Since all star break

0-2 against KC
2-2 against Miami
0-1 against Colorado
0-1 against Toronto

All bottom feeders ... I can understand going 4-6 but not 2-6. Once again 1-4 did little. Acuna is 2-18 and Freeman has been about the same. Watching flowers strike out in the bottom of the 8th at two ball four pitches is frustrating.

I wonder what they over/under on how many days after we complain about the Braves, they get hot and start playing much better lol.

Big series coming up against the Nationals. May tell a lot about how ready we are to make a postseason run.

Braves take the first two with outstanding pitching from Fried and Keuchel. Best game all year for Fried ... Luke Jackson is always an acid-inducing reliever.

Some pictures you need a drink to watch, with Jackson you need to bottle of Maalox.

Not sure why he stays in the relief rotation... even when he gets out of a tough inning it’s a tough inning of his own making. Did I hear that O’Day got called up? Is he a reliever?

I don't think my heart will be able to take it if/when Atlanta's in a playoff game and Jackson's brought in with the season on the line.
