I'm wondering how much interest the Braves have (or don't have) in Kris Bryant. Until recently 3B has been a weak spot for hitting and the team seems to always be short an OF. Pache, Heredia and Inciarte have all been hurt. Bryant's ability to play RF and 3B is useful and he is hitting very well, at least for now.
If he gets touched up tonight, don't let it bother you. In my fantasy leagues I never start a guy in his first game back. They just aren't ready, plus in this case, Washington isn't a pushover, and it's in Washington. I'll start him in the next game and by the third game he will be a force. I hope he does great and there is always the chance he will.
I'm a semi-Braves fan and pull for them, even though I can't stand their bogus chopping. It's terrible.

They needed a good outing from Smyly and got it. Hopefully we get a good game out of Morton tonight.
First game with 100% full attendance allowed since Covid struck. I hope the atmosphere is electric and the crowd raucous! I don't know if it actually will be a packed house, but let's hope the team feeds off the energy and pounds the phillies.
I think it is sold out and see only a few tickets left on stub hub. The stadium is going to be crazy tonight. The game should be awesome unless we give up 6+ in the first. 🙏 🤣

I liked that there was no warning, no retaliation from the Phils. Hit ours and we hit yours and we move on. Big week this week.

IDK, they just don't impress me, but neither does the Braves bullpen. They'd be 2 games below .500 if not for the Braves series. Hopefully Green and Martin can provide something positive! ☝️

I agree, but I thought Freeman would throw to second since he was moving that direction somewhat but a pitcher practices that play to the point of instinct.
For sure. It just looked like Webb saw Freeman start to go home, and that is why he crouched. He was heading in the right direction.
The play against the Phillies was unacceptable.
Braves bullpen is a bunch of inconsistent retreads that AA and Snitker roll out every year. Minter reverted to his older self last night. I was a little surprised to see Biddle back with the Braves. This team cannot get over .500 and have lost 4 in a row to Toronto. Incidentally, the Toronto bull pen has only one blown save this year whereas it’s a crapshoot most every time the Braves bullpen takes the mound.
At this point I don’t know why the keep trotting out Minter, he’s awful

Just now the Pirates had runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out and the pitcher on deck. The batter took a called strike three right down the middle just above the knees. Just leave the bat in the dugout if you don't have any intentions of using it! A ground ball anywhere but the pitcher ties the game.
I hope they still have kangaroo courts in locker rooms to punish this type of "play." Sorry, I'm a bit old fashioned when it comes to the fundamentals of the game.
