Well, one way to overcome bullpen woes is for your starter to pitch late into the game while giving him plenty of run support... Check and check. Atlanta's scored eight runs behind five round-trippers tonight, and Strider didn't give up a hit until the eighth inning while striking out thirteen Marlins. Pretty good recipe for success.

That did not look accidental to me. Met's pitcher did not come close to hitting another Braves' batter.

Well if you want to take out a team's best player, you might as well do it in the first inning when no one is on base. That was clearly intentional, and not even a warning from the ump. Snit has filed that one away for later. But retaliation will be tricky if he wants to wait until the Alonso at-bat and not have his starting pitcher get tossed. He's going to have to pitch everyone inside until he "loses control of a fastball" and plunks Pete. And then he still might get tossed.

I see those jerkwads are coming to Truist five weeks from now. Atlanta should bring up a wild young flamethrower just for the occasion. The score needs to be settled or this crap will continue to happen. (We were all lucky this time apparently...Acuna didn't suffer a serious injury and is listed as day-to-day.)
