Hurricane Irma

For those of you in Tallahassee. We are expecting 85-95 mile winds Monday morning. You all remember last year. Wilma was a tropical storm with winds 65 mph. Are you all staying or going?

Where are you seeing 95 MPH? The hourly forecast on weather.com has a high of like 62 MPH. I really don't know what to do.

A friend who lives in Tallahassee was in Houston to help with the clean up from Harvey. He is returning just in time for Irma.

I had a stroke back in June and am in a wheelchair. Plus we have two dogs too hyper and anti-social to take to a shelter. Going to have to hope for the best.

So with no TV here (which would be storm coverage only), but we have computers, and nothing else to do while riding the storm out, is there any streaming of the NFL games on any sites?

Don't know if you were down there for Andrew but a lot of us contractors made a lot of money afterwards.
Unfortunately, so did a lot of "contractors" who took the money and ran...

(To clarify, not referring to the legit ones like you, but rather the two unlicensed guys with the pickup and BS business cards)

I was going to ask the same thing. I have the NFL app but they don't stream any live games and Spectrum isn't one of the providers that will stream via the NFL app.

Help out some brothers in Tampa!

Not 15 min after we put the boards up, some guy shows up at our door trying to sell us hurricane windows. Yeah, I am going to buy something from some guy doing his impersonation of an ambulance chaser roaming neighborhoods looking for boarded up houses.

Doing the gametracker thing. Better than nothing.

Who is your TV with? I thought with DirecTV & Dish you could log into their website portal and stream live TV. Not sure if Comcast or other cable providers offer anything similar.

My provider is Spectrum, which used to be Brighthouse.

Right now I'm watching the NFL Network. If I lose power I can listen to the games on my Sirius app.

try reddit.com/r/nflstreams. might have to deal with some ads but you should be able to watch some games

Bill, you don't have tv at all? If you do, the games are on the non hd channels of your local cable company.

Could have sustained winds to 95 mph tomorrow midday. If this stays just west of the coast in the warm water of the gulf it will stay strong.

Wind predicted here to be in the high 50's at 5 PM, mid 70's at 8 PM, and 80-90 from midnight to 5 AM tapering to the 30's at 8 AM.

Winds I'm seeing from the buoys and stations in the keys don't match the hype. A good thing, but it makes me wonder about the hype...

Second Florida landfall in Marco Island about 30 minutes ago and Irma is pounding Naples right now. Apparently there have been 131 mph wind gusts in the Naples area within the past 20 minutes as the eye wall is passign through.

Tallahassee won't be seeing 95 mph winds from this storm unless it makes its way back out over water this evening and somehow strengthens again.
