Latson scores 30 points but FSU falls at NC State in OT

Ta'Niya Latson scored 30 points, while Makayla Timpson had 13 points and nine rebounds but FSU didn't have enough and lost to No. 3 NC State 88-80 in overtime.

River Baldwin, who began her career at FSU, had 21 points on 10 of 14 shooting and added eight rebounds. The Wolfpack improved to 14-0.

The Seminoles (11-4, 2-1 ACC) shot 38.2 percent from the floor but were only 7 of 32 (21.9 percent) from 3-point range.

Latson waited a little too late to attack during that last shot. Needed to win this one in regulation.

Would have like to see us try to get Viegas some more looks as our guards struggled tonight.

Obviously not a bad loss but this team needs to start generating some quality wins and tonight we had a chance.

Watched the miserable “Nothing But Net” ACC Network show after the game—the commentators glorified NC State after the game highlights with NOT one word about FSU—-they already have the ESPN/ACC memo—coverage for FSU will be held to next to nothing as the lawsuit progresses.

Wasn’t sure where to put this but Kiyomi McMiller will be announcing her college choice within the next hour. A top 25 prospect (rated as high as #6 at one point), already signed NIL deal with Jordan is choosing between FSU, Ole Miss, Temple, Rutgers, WVU and UCF.

Noles desperately need some good news on the recruiting front.

She chose Rutgers. Welp, looks like we will have to rely on the portal/overseas for newcomers once again.

We haven’t landed a Top 100 HS recruit since Latson committed in August 2021.
