Count me in as excited!
Lol. I was coming in to say the exact same thing. As long as Iron Fist dies a quick but horrible death in the first two minutes I'm excited as well (the actor who played him was TURRABLE).
I did not watch Iron Fist after everyone on here and everywhere else said how crappy it was... Should I watch it before I watch defenders?
[/SPOILER]
Eh, I don't know. I'm still pissed that he slept with Rick's wife.I'm much more excited about the stand alone Punisher series that's coming.
He is a much better character in this universe, he would have whacked whinny ass Rick by now.Eh, I don't know. I'm still pissed that he slept with Rick's wife.
supposedly the Iron Fist parts are much better done in this series from the early previews I read. He apparently matches up well with Mike Colter's Luke Cage.
To me everything in Iron Fist was good except the Iron Fist. I really enjoyed the other characters, I just got bored everytime it centered on him too long.I liked iron fist. It was lighter hearted than the other series. The fighting style was less brutal. The story was simple. Very much a comic book story.

Supposedly much of this is corrected in the Defenders. We'll know soon enough since it's out now. I don't know when I'll have time to watch it, but I'm certain some people will have updates up shortly.

Danny was infinitely worse in his stand alone series.Have just watched the first two episodes. Didn't watch Iron Fist because of its reputation, and if Danny was as whiny and dumb in that, I see why the series wasn't loved.
Was Sand Snake Colleen what kept him alive in the first series? She certainly seemed to be the brains for both of them.
The funny thing is I loved everything about the Iron Fist show except for the Iron Fist. All the supporting cast had really interesting characters except for Danny who I just wanted to die. I'm really hoping that what I've heard from others, that it gets much stronger once they're together is true.Made it through the fourth episode last night. Definitely takes a big turn for the better by the end of episode 3...really pretty excruciating before that. Really enjoyed that. Hope it continues to hold that quality.
Them together is way better than their individual series. These characters are way better playing off each other. Daredevil didn't suffer for it because Foggy and Karen really were strong supporting characters for Murdock to bounce off of. But I way like the other characters as a team way more than I did in their individual runs.
At least for a couple episodes, this actually turned into a fun action series, which has rarely been the case through the individual series.

I definitely started really enjoying it. To be fair, I didn't watch enough to Luke Cage or Iron Fist to dismiss all the characters like that. I like Sigourney Weaver's character, which I'm assuming was imported from Iron Fist.
I was specifically talking about the fact that to me, only Daredevil had really compelling "partners" in their own series for me. But I find them compelling partnered up now. Especially Jessica Jones...I liked the character a lot anyway, but to me it's a much better fit in this mix than her just walking around acting like a jerk to everyone in her own show.

I loved Luke Cage except that it was about 4 episodes too long. Claire Temple becomes the major supporting cast there and her chemistry with Luke was fantastic.
I believe the Sigourney Weaver character was all new created for the Defenders series.
I just watched Jessica Jones last week, and I don't remember Sigourney Weaver being on it.She was in Jessica Jones

Agreed. The series should have ended there. The final boss was about as uninteresting to me as Danny Rand is to me.Yeah, Luke Cage was great UNTIL Cornell/Cottonmouth was axed. The problem was the ultimate "big bad" was nowhere near as interesting as the "midstage boss".
