According to CFB-HQ, Mack Brown thinks his predecessor at UNC Bill Belichick will be successful at UNC.

“They’ve committed money to it. They’ve helped him with academics. They’ve lowered those standards some. So there’s absolutely no reason they shouldn’t be successful," Brown said, according to CFB-HQ. “And anymore, they’ve changed the roster... So you’ve got a chance to succeed at the highest level, and I expect him to do that and I’m proud for him.”

Brown points to two HUGE changes since he was head coach: a bigger investment in its NIL capacity and lower admissions standards.

“North Carolina didn’t have NIL money,” he said in reference to his departing the school. “I said we’re kind of a slow bleed. We weren’t able to recruit the top kids like we were when we first got there. So it was time for them and it was time for me, so it was kind of like a divorce. Everybody was ready.”

Brown sees no reason wby Belichick, who he says may be the best coach ever, won't win big.

But how long will it take with very little collegiate coaching experience on his staff which embraces nepotism.
Belichick has two of his son’s on his staff, defensive coordinator Steve is a veteran assistant under his father at New England, and Brian had five seasons in the New Engladd secondary while General Manager Michael Lombardi’s son Matt is the receivers coach.

The new staff has a a clean slate, and 30 transfer portal players, as they Lost eight of team’s top 10 tacklers, two with 10.5 TFLs or more. Eight offensive linemen are gone, including All American Willie Lampkin, as well as the top three receivers and star runningback Omarion Hampton. QB Jacolby Criswell is also gone and backup Max Johnson -- yes our Brad Johnson's son -- missed spring after breaking his leg in the fall.

What do you all think? How quick can Belichick win?
