The Official LR College Football Bowl Season Drinking Game Thread

I was napping by the time that came on. I understand it would've put me to sleep if I already wasn't.

What? No way! It was great. I even found time to do research on the old Southwestern conference and won a bet that Arkansas was in the SWC for years. It also didn't occur to me just how many historical players played in the SWC.

With how bad both played, FSU might have had a shot at a W.

The old SWC was the original "if you ain't cheating, you ain't trying." It all finally started to unravel when Eric Dickerson took Texas A&M's gold Trans Am, but still went to SMU.

Oh yeah, it was definitely a crazy conference in an unsupervised era. And don't forget when Craig James was killing hookers while playing for SMU. :)

Those schools have definitely become a shell of themselves, time moves on.

Only time (I believe) that a sitting governor (Bill Clements) publicly stated that they needed to keep cheating because there were verbal contracts to honor and family members relying on the payments. God Bless Texas!

That's pretty funny...Duke calls their wildcat the "wild devil".

I know this isn't a popular opinion, but i actually enjoyed my trip to Shreveport. Brewery was decent, won a little money at the casino and we played pretty well.

The locals were real nice and thanked us for coming, said with attendance they were worried about losing the bowl.

With that said there are 900 other places to go to a brewery and casino and I hope we never go back.

I hate not being a bowl at the moment because I want to poke at the Miami fans on my Facebook, but sadly we suck.

Yeah, a lot of fans remain spoiled for the good ol' days. It wasn't that cold, and the trip wasn't that bad. Having said that, i determined that Shreveport isn't the end of the world, but you can see it from that stadium.

Miami really is hot garbage. I remember trying to be positive after the ACC refs stole game from us that we had shown great growth to almost beat Miami. Turns out the reason we jumped on them so bad is they sucked too.

How did all of these Clemson players fail the only drug test Clemson doesn’t administer? I’m glad I know what good people these are or I might suspect something untoward.

Is there a college coach that gets more out of his available talent than Cutcliffe?

I know he wasn't a favorite of ours during the Fisher regime, but maybe Fisher had a lot to do with that.
