Glad Peveto is prominently mentioned and NOT Sean Maguire.

Bradley Dale Peveto (born December 28, 1962) is an American football coach and former player. He grew up in the small town of Orangefield, Texas and attended Southern Methodist University, where he played defensive back from 1982 to 1986. Hmmm...

Peveto is a slimeball. Not surprised by this.

Don’t let the final scores fool you, we were completely in both games. In fact, watching the game in person for the Alabam game, I honestly felt like we were better team at halftime despite trailing by 3. We had special teams and turnover nightmare for 10 minutes that blew that game. Bama had like 20 more yards offense.

And AT Clemson, we had the ball with 6 minutes left in fourth quarter down 3...

Those two games give me hope and are also a damning indictment on how the coaches could not get them better than 6-6.
Not fooled at all - we were not going to win those games. Clemson we made run but shot our wad. Alabama we were a threat for the first half. Better teams let lesser teams make mistakes. So yes we belong in the game but not on the level of those teams.

Not going by score, going by reality of the play.

Here is what I found > https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...r-player-eligibility-jimbo-fisher/1052434002/

The allegations are great if proven (unlikely), because it would provide a possible basis for firing Jimbo and voiding his contract.

On the downside, it wouldn't take long for the NCAA to start sniffing around FSU.

Jimbo may be a number of things, but I don't see him as the type sending his assistants out to pay money. No basis for that just than what I have seen of his public profile. It certainly falls to him as the head coach if true, but... of all the complaints, that is the one I see as the least likely.

Actually, it seems to me to fit his Fat Elvis era 2017- of not caring or effort put in and resulting lack of control on happenings.

I know he's a little out of shape, but I'm very excited to see freshman Cooper on the field. He can lose a ton of weight and still be an enormous DT.

Dude is supposedly balling on the D side of things this summer out of all the freshman. Hearing that FR Helton on the O side is turning heads also.

I remember how important Terrence Cody was to Alabama when Saban was beginning there. I hope Coop can make some magic here, overweight or not.

Cody's pic from the combine:

I agree with Rick Neuheisel (sp? Too lazy to look up) in that the NCAA should make Week Zero an exclusive group of five showoff week where the biggest matchups of Group of Fives should happen this week to get them off to the races. An FAU versus UCF, BYU versus Boise State, Houston versus App State etc....

That's a great idea as long a these teams also get a guaranteed P5 opponent, too. Doesn't have to be an elite team, but if they get nominated for this exclusive then also guarantee a shot at the P5.

Just to recap:
Urban Meyer is being excoriated in the media and has lost his moral high ground.
Jimbo is facing an NCAA crapstorm at worst and a huge distraction at best.

The only thing that could make this week better is if Steve Spurrier got herpes.

Can’t catch what you already caught.

I LOL'd at the quote about Taggart. None of our previous HC's had done anything "really amazing" prior to taking over here.

I think Willie needs to prove himself. I like the guy so far and he seems to saying and doing the right things, but we haven’t played a game with him yet.

As for Dan Mullen and the Mississippi State comment, he really didn’t do anything amazing in Starkville. He is something like 2-25 against Top 25 opponents.

True about Mullen. He seems to have been a better coordinator than he's been a head coach.
