Crap...dont know how to link Twitter.

Look at A David Hale joint's tweet....

To be clear the fake injuries were NOT why we lost; but the more I think about it the more it bothers me. While I am not surprised that the ACC will do nothing; it is really pathetic. The effect on the other team is real and anyone who has ever played competitive can think of the effects on a game. At a minimum it would be a 5 yard penalty if the player doesn't make it to the line of scrimmage in time, running an offense at pace is important. Just like the offense needs to get set and in position; so does the defense. Being out of position even 2 feet can make a play that was going to be stuffed a big play.
I will also say that I am sure many teams and even FSU have done this in the past. The difference is it wasn't so obvious that even the announcers are calling you out. If I remember correctly the NFL didn't have a rule about this until a few teams made it a technique. Hopefully the NCAA takes a look at this and acts accordingly; although I doubt it. My only hope is that other teams/coaches see this and say well if it is legal why not and then maybe the NCAA gets embarrassed enough to take action. It is obvious vt doesn't have any pride; sure they whooped us but they looked like sissies who evidently don't have an off season workout program.

I don’t think you can penalize team in game. That is too hard. But you can make them sit out a lot of time as a health precaution that nobody can argue.

Yea I agree for the most part and throwing the safety thing in will eliminate complaining. However they have officials in the booth and when you see a dude get up start to jog, look at his sidelines and then slowly lay down; that should get a flag and the player should sit for a while.

It’s not easy but I think anything other than equipment problem is sitting out a minimum of 5 snaps or some other arbitrary number of snaps.

Waiting out a weather delay watching Samford's quarterbacks practice e lolly pop throws. I think they're preparing for a big defensive push

Here’s a current Gator announcing he’s transferring. Note the shade he throws at Mullen and company.

Seems to be an early season theme for that dude:

I support the coaches and players but that backpack is the dumbest thing I've seen in a long long time.

It’s not really about us, but rather the players. It is they who came up with idea and if that helped propel them to 5 turnovers, who I am to ridicule them.

No turnover was more crucial than the one that sealed the game from Levonta Taylor with 2:23 left in the fourth quarter. Right after FSU took its first lead of the night and first of the 2018 season altogether, the Bulldogs threatened to regain the advantage as they reached the FSU 41-yard line.

That’s when the junior cornerback jumped an out route, snared a Devlin Hodges throw and promptly raced 63 yards to the house, effectively slamming the door shut on Samford.

“I was happy for Levonta, that was him being him, he’s special,” Meyer said of his fellow starting cornerback. “He’s a veteran like me, and he’s just getting everybody going.”

For a defense that had struggled in the first half, the second half was a building block.

Taylor’s snag provided the most genuine post-play elation from a unit that earlier debuted its own turnover prize – a bright red backpack.

“It was something the defense voted on, and tonight they secured that bag,” quarterback Deondre Francois said. “Levonta did a great job of closing the game, and that’s the true definition of securing the bag.”

“We’re getting our bag, it makes us want to make a play,” Meyers added. “Everybody is in that bag this year.”

Ok...I'll accept it if it motivates the D. However, they should put a "Hello McKitty" logo on the bag.

Clemson 5 %
Notre Dame 10 %
Miami 20 %
Boston College. 50 %
NC State 60 %
Louisville 65 % (they were tied with Indiana a State at half)
Syracuse 25 %
Northern Illinois 60 %
Wake 65 %
Florida 55 %

6-6 I say. Bowl streak very much in danger.

Play to win the game!

I would take zero comfort in that.
They're going to be up for playing us on a level they never could be for Indiana State.
They don't have any more home town celebs nearing death I hope....

ESPN FPI suggests some ugly.
Safe to say we have not impressed our AI Overlords:

Syracuse - 43%
Northern Illinois - 83.5%
Louisville - 50.8%
Miami - 18.5%
Wake - 59%
Clemson 14.4%
NC State - 37.1%
Notre Dame - 13%
Boston College - 42.4%
Florida - 44.3%

I can't imagine.

Taggert didn't strike me as a Nietzsche fan.
"you must be ready to burn yourself in your own flame; how could you rise anew if you have not first become ashes?"

I'm still seeing 8 or 9 wins, but there's a reason I don't gamble.

I'm not that depressed yet. Our Oline is awful yet again, but I didn't expect it to be great.

at Syracuse 65% (I do REALLY like their QB and he will be just as dangerous as Samford's BUT...the rest of their team is probably on par with Samford as well)
Northern Illinois 95%
at Louisville 85% (they've shown me nothing to be afraid of and hopefully we clean up our many mistakes by this point)
at Miami 50% (yes they beat up Savannah State in year two but looked dreadful at underwhelming LSU)
Wake Forest 75% (they look decent this year)
Clemson 10% (they didn't look that great at aTm, hopefully we have fully absorbed our new O and D schemes by now)
at NC State 75%
at Notre Dame 35%
Boston College 80%
Florida 80%

I don't see why BC is treated the same as Wake Forest. BC is nasty this year. I know they haven't played anyone yet but they have it where it counts (and where we don't).

That and its BC - they and NC State always plays us tough. Always. Even in freakin 2013.

Not sure if Clemson played poorly or ATMU played well, but FSU and ATMU are sitting in very different places. FSU trailed until 4 minutes left to beat Samford by 10. ATMU was in the game and lost by 2 with a shot right until the end of the game against Clemson.

I take the ugly win, but ATMU looks to be able to beat FSU if we played this weekend. Also don't know what that says about how bad FSU was when Jimbo left vs how ATMU was when he took over.

“He’ll be back, Khalan, He’ll be back,” Taggart said. “He had a knee injury there where he dislocated his kneecap. It wasn’t necessarily as bad as we thought it was when we were out there. It will be some weeks before he can get going again.”

^ Man the way he got hit, I thought he got all torn up like Frenchy last year and was going to be out until next spring practice!
