He’s not lying. The more and more I see from PC proper, Lynn Haven, Parker, Calloway, etc., the more I realize how lucky we were in Tallahassee.
That’s amazing. I never would have guessed it was sunny and almost completely calm in the eye.
My house is in that video. It looks like the water is just a couple of feet below my roofline. My boat house roof is 2/3 submerged. It looks like the house across the road from mine, is completely gone
Thank You. Worked really hard to get that place and turn it into what I always wanted. I hope it is salvageable... and I can find my boatStay strong @Deerfuel2. Its just stuff. It can be replaced. Glad you are ok.
Holy crap, I thought they were in a 4wd pickup. This video was posted earlier
The car they were in is a Honda Civic. They were by Tyndall AFB.
I think that is the DG sorority house
I flew back from Tampa last night without any issues, save for a little turbulence. Our flight time was about 10 minutes longer than scheduled, which I attributed to a slightly altered flight path.Bezos certainly does.
so basically these goater boneheads were like, "hey let's put a giant metal projectile in the path of the hurricane and see what happens."UF put up this contraption, thinking it would survive a direct hit from a major hurricane. I guess that's why they are the Harvard of the South
I can't imagine how devastating that is to hear for JRob.
What they're not admitting publicly is the fact that the contraption was supposed to launch 10 million love bug larvae into the eye, but the zip-lock bag containing them was ripped open once the winds reached 30 mph.UF put up this contraption, thinking it would survive a direct hit from a major hurricane. It's not the DG house - it's not any of the sorority houses. No road on the south side of DG house....only to the north. Too small...looks like something you might see on Park....

This map is hard to read, but it appears to be a lot of town. https://outagemap.talgov.com/Tally folks - how widespread are the power outages?
The number I saw is 95% for Leon County. Southwood has buried utilities, which likely prevented outages. My in-laws in Monticello only lost power for a few hours. This map is hard to read, but it appears to be a lot of town. https://outagemap.talgov.com/
Many/most of the people I know in town are without power.
We were very lucky in our neighborhood. Power flickered for hours, but never went out.
