Irish eyes crying: FSU routs Notre Dame
Chris Rix passed for 327 yards and three touchdowns to lead No. 5 Florida State to a 37-0 victory over Notre Dame on Saturday, the second worst home loss in Irish history.

Rix could ball, he just shares an epitaph with Bowden: “...but he played Miami.”

We're also the only one of the seven that (most likely) won't be going to a bowl game. There will be nine or 10 ACC teams going to a bowl game this year - we're not one of them.

In other words, is desperately trying to preserve the bowl streak keeping Frenchy, Noonie, Gavin, Patrick and others on the field rather than "selling out" with new faces that are not accepting of our recent losing ways?

Speaking of short term fixes, it might be worth a call or two from our staff to see if this guy is still interested in coming to FSU (we came in second). While he's been a headache, we definitely need some short term upgrades at the LB positions.

The rumor on the Slim Reaper front is that Blackman's family forced Taggart to agree to redshirt him barring an injury to Frenchy and FSU is still in the bowl hunt. Apparently that came after the Wake Forest game, they just didn't want to see Blackman killed by our terrible Oline.

So I definitely think playing Frenchy over Blackman IS stupid at this point, but it makes sense if the family says no.
