I suppose it could be either Olson or Acuna at this point in the season. But does a .258 BA get you the MVP title????Olson HAS to be the front runner for MVP, right? 80 RBI's in mid-July. Wow.
True. Plus Ronald's outfield defensive prowess has to be factored in.I suppose it could be either Olson or Acuna at this point in the season. But does a .258 BA get you the MVP title????
WIth 120 RBI's? You bet your sweet bippie it does. Acuna is great, but who has the most game winning hits this year?I suppose it could be either Olson or Acuna at this point in the season. But does a .258 BA get you the MVP title????
And the fish lose a half game to boot.Fillies lost and the mutts are losing!
I have to admit when Yates gave up the home run in the eighth to make it a 5-3 game I thought the Braves were done. Huge bottom half of the eighth for Atlanta ... and Iglesias made me sweat the ninth. What a massive comeback win to avoid the sweep!
The non-steroid era NL record for home runs in a season is 59 by Giancarlo Stanton in 2017...Olson has a legit chance to break itHe's on pace for 60 or better, if he can keep it going.
Interesting development ... I thought Soroka looked solid, but not dominant, against Milwaukee. Figured he would work this out with more starts. I wonder if there is something more here. Chirinos doesn't seem like much of an upgrade.
Exactly what I was thinking.Interesting development ... I thought Soroka looked solid, but not dominant, against Milwaukee. Figured he would work this out with more starts. I wonder if there is something more here. Chirinos doesn't seem like much of an upgrade.
I hope so. He gets called up when they've already clinched their place and be given some more innings.I think the key phrase is "and can be optioned". I expect Soroka to be back in Atlanta this year.
There are quite a few minor league parks within a two hour driving radius of where I live; I'd love to see these guys come down and play.
'Banana Ball': Introducing the baseball iteration taking the sport by storm
MLB could learn a thing or two from the Savannah Bananas.sports.yahoo.com
Acuna and Freeman a close second right now. Too much talk of MVP when you've got so many games to play i.e slumps, injuries, and somebody gets hot. If Acuna stays healthy and consistent; he wins it. Olson has too many strikeouts and has made eight errors and batting average, although improved lately, is still not high enough. Freeman hasn't even made an error. Acuna has made five....Olson HAS to be the front runner for MVP, right? 80 RBI's in mid-July. Wow.
